The ongoing growth and expansion drive of GG Glass continues as the UK firm has announced the launch of its ninth depot.
Now open in Mitcham, South London, at the new Industrial Boundary Business Park, the depot will house the firms regional glazing business whilst integrating the latest corporate acquisition, 1st Call Glazing.
A long established ‘Emergency Call Out’ glazing company, the 1st Call Glazing business sits perfectly alongside the contracting business, providing a full scope of commercial glazing solutions from under one of roof. 1st Call has relocated from Surrey to the new purpose built, larger facilities where the team will be based.
Sam Grant, Operations Director at GG Glass commented: “This is an important move for the business, giving us a strong presence in South London and surrounding areas.
“The acquisition of 1st Call represents the first stage in our regional expansion followed by the launch of the South London glazing business, bringing them together under a single roof.”
The depot has benefited from a full fit out including new cutting machinery, polishing facilities and overhead crane.
Sam added: “The South London depot forms an integral part of our strategic growth plan. We’re incredibly pleased to see the depot fully operational, fitted out to an incredibly high standard and with a fantastic team in place.”
